Baby Boy the dog

These are a couple pictures of our best dog ever, baby boy.  When he was born we named him spot because of a spot he had near his tail but then my mom noticed he was the smallest in the litter and called him her 'baby boy'.  The name stuck and he stopped responding to spot.  He was by far our best dog ever.  Very smart little guy.  He potty trained himself and was my mom's sidekick.  They were always together whether cooking, gardening, reading, napping and when she would shower he would wait outside the bathroom door for her.

He passed away the day after thanksgiving in 2008.  Someone opened the gate to our front yard and he was hit by a car.  We miss him dearly.

He was a good sport about taking pictures with and for me.  I LOVE & MISS you baby boy!

St. Louis-Urbana

These are a few that I took while in St. Louis for the Urbana missions conference.  Great conference beautiful city.  Very cold while there though.  :)

Grass area near the St. Louis Arch.  Not sure what lead me to take this picture, but for some reason I like it.

Just a shot while walking around.

The St. Louis Arch

I know it's blurry.  However, I really like it.  This was at a TSA corps where we had our united meeting I guess you could say during Urbana.

A little read & Germany

So today I worked the late shift at work.  So I decided to bring in my camera's book and look through that for the first time.  I've had my SLR for almost a year but never opened the book to see what I could do with the camera.  I just kind of played with it and was able to figure some stuff out.  But today, in prep for getting use to posting at least one picture a day I decided to share 3 pictures I liked from when I went to Germany on Service Corps.  I'll be sharing some of the pictures I've taken between now and the 1st of February.  I more than likely won't be post from Jan. 25th-29th because I will be at The Salvation Army's youth leaders Boot Camp up in Mt. Hermon.  Hoping to get some practice in there! But I will start the one a day for sure on the 1st of Feb.

This was after a world cup game in berlin when Germany had won it's match.  The streets were always crazy outside when Germany won.  The longer they stayed in the race for the cup, the more intense the excitement was after!

This was a very pretty castle's courtyard outside of Berlin about an hour.  Gorgeous!!!  From the top of the tower we could see berlin in the distance.

This was the backyard of a different castle/home that they took us to see.  On huge fountain is what the steps lead to.  Beautiful place too.

A Task of a Photo a day...

Within the last year and half I have really began to enjoy taking pictures, not that I hadn't before.   So I decided to post a picture a day in order to help me grow in this little hobby.  I don't claim to be the best so this I hope is going to challenge me, not to be the best but just learn more about photography while taking pictures.  Some pictures might not be great, some might not make sense, some might just be for fun and have no learning purpose, some might be depicting the kind of day I've had and some might just not be good.  Regardless, I'm hoping to learn something, even if it's something small.  But if anything, it's somewhere to share the pictures and things I see and have fun outside of FB land.

I will start consistently on Feb. 1st 2010 and end (hopefully) January 31st 2011.  Here goes nothing!
